Acquisition of Ahler Gravuren GmbH by Matthews International Corporation

Over the past few months, the globally operating Matthews International Corporation (NASDAQ GSM: MATW) has been working on the acquisition of German printing cylinder manufacturer Ahler Gravuren GmbH. As a long-standing part of the US-based corporation, the SAUERESSIG Group is strengthening its global production network through the acquisition of the Münsterland-based company AKG.

Until now, AKG has operated as a medium-sized company and stands for maximum flexibility, technical expertise and impressive manufacturing capabilities. With Europe’s largest fully automated Atocon line for cylinder production, AKG relies on technical precision and achieves the highest level of flexibility for its customers through continuous modernisation and process optimisation.

As the newest member of Matthews International Corporation, AKG will work closely with the SAUERESSIG Group’s locations to provide complete solutions for the packaging industry in the future – from data preparation and cylinder production through to final printing.
