Last Sunday, 1 October 2023, the Heek-West industrial estate and the new Stroot commercial area on the former Hülsta site opened their doors for the Heek Business Expo. Designed as a kind of open day, the event gave local companies the opportunity to present themselves to the public and showcase their products and services. One of the companies taking part was Matthews International with its SAUERESSIG brand, which operates a test centre on the Maakwi Campus in Heek.

SAUERESSIG used the business expo to present itself as an innovative exhibitor and showcase its wide range of in-house technologies. At the SAUERESSIG stand, numerous interested visitors were able to experience the latest innovations in battery manufacturing first-hand. The dedicated team led by Christof Röring and Norbert Buning-Weddewer was on hand to assist visitors, answer questions and explain the various technologies and applications on display. In addition to the technical aspects, the team also clearly demonstrated the wide range of potential applications for the products.

The day was characterised by positive impressions, interesting encounters and promising prospects for the local economy. Visitors showed great interest in the technologies and solutions presented and were impressed by Matthews International’s innovative strength, broad product portfolio and numerous career opportunities.

In addition to presentations by local companies, the Heek Business Expo offered a wide range of activities for the whole family. An extensive supporting programme and attractions such as a Ninja Warrior course provided entertainment. The Radio WMW live stage featured comedy, interviews, DJs and children’s radio. Numerous food and drink stands catered to visitors throughout the day. The Heek Business Expo was therefore not only a great opportunity for SAUERESSIG to present itself, but also an event for the whole family.
