SAUERESSIG Surfaces expands capacities for the direct structuring of metallic surfaces

After the successful commissioning of the first Cellaxy V5 XL laser at the Vreden site in 2022, SAUERESSIG is expanding its production capacities with a second high-performance laser at the Mönchengladbach site. The new Cellaxy V5 XL sets new standards in the direct structuring of metallic surfaces – for maximum precision combined with versatility.

Maximum flexibility in laser engraving

The Cellaxy V5 XL enables the direct structuring of steel and copper surfaces – from the finest microstructures to large-area, deep engravings. This opens up a wide range of applications for numerous industries. With the second Cellaxy V5 XL laser, SAUERESSIG is offering expanded capacities for customer-specific solutions and high-precision engraving at two locations.

The expanded processing options at the Mönchengladbach site are particularly noteworthy:

  • Cylinder sizes from 300 mm to 1600 mm in circumference
  • Maximum engraving width: 3400 mm
  • Maximum cylinder weight: up to 3000 kg
  • Three-jaw chuck for optimal cylinder reception

Extended capacities for customers

With the new system, SAUERESSIG will be able to respond even more flexibly to customer requests in the future, while at the same time offering maximum efficiency in the engraving of metallic surfaces. In particular, applications from the decor sector will benefit from the ability to implement fine and complex designs with the highest repeat accuracy.

Frank Attula, Head of Production SAUERESSIG Surfaces, emphasises: ‘The investment in a second Cellaxy V5 XL laser is an important step in further expanding our production capacities. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, we can achieve even more precise and efficient engravings and offer our customers the best quality.’ Carsten Stolzenberg, Sales Director SAUERESSIG Surfaces, also sees clear advantages: ‘With the new Cellaxy laser, we are strengthening our position as an innovation leader in direct engraving. The expanded processing options enable us to respond even more flexibly to customer requirements and to implement even the most complex structures with the highest precision.’

The installation of the new Cellaxy V5 XL laser is a further step into the future – for even more precise, efficient and innovative production at SAUERESSIG Surfaces.
