2023 was a big year for the Matthews Engineering segment of Matthews Industrial Technologies. They delivered on major customer projects, saw significant financial growth, and invested in the expansion of its global footprint. To offer excellent customer proximity and even more comprehensive services in the field of engineering, they launched a new Engineering Services Division in Chennai, India.
The new Indian facility supports the Matthews Engineering business with comprehensive mechanical engineering services. This includes mechanical design, as well as detailed analysis and simulations work for a wide range of projects originating within the converting and energy industry, including applications and manufacturing equipment for the vast growing battery and hydrogen fuel cell industry.
Since its inception with a festive opening ceremony, the Chennai unit has delivered several key projects and has established itself successfully as an anchor point for global projects within the globally significant Indian setting, thanks to the support and contribution of an expert team of engineers and designers.
K Chandrashekhar, Managing Director Matthews Engineering India, is confident that this is only the starting point:
“Our new Chennai facility functions as the ideal interface between our worldwide engineering capabilities and services, in particular the German centers of development, and the fast-developing Indian market with a huge potential to scale up. We are appreciative of the new office to grow each day in its contributions and in its impact.”
This is only one of many inspiring examples how Matthews International keeps evolving its business to offer customers the best available services and excellent engineering capabilities – worldwide.
