Matthews International Corporation (MATW) acquires german printing cylinder manufacturer Ahler Gravuren GmbH (AKG)

In recent months, Matthews International Corporation (NASDAQ GSM: MATW), has been working on the acquisition of the printing roller manufacturer Ahler Gravuren GmbH. As part of the US-based Matthews International Corporation the SAUERESSIG Group is strengthening its global production network with the acquisition of the Münsterland-based company AKG.

AKG, previously a medium-sized company, stands for maximum flexibility, professional know-how and impressive manufacturing. With Europe’s largest fully automated Atocon line for cylinder production, AKG focuses on technical precision and achieves maximum flexibility for customers through constant modernization and process optimization. As a new acquisition to Matthews International Corporation, AKG will in future offer complete solutions for the packaging industry in close cooperation with the SAUERESSIG Group sites – from data preparation to cylinder production and final printing.
