Vreden recruiting fair „Aufwind“ – successful event for SAUERESSIG
The Vreden recruiting fair “Aufwind”, which took place on 17 and 18 September, was a complete success. More than 90 companies impressively showed in four exhibition tents and on the outdoor area in Gaxel what the Vreden economy has to offer. As in previous years, the topic of vocational training played a central role at the Aufwind. In the run-up to the recruiting fair, the initiators brought together groups of schoolchildren with companies in order to realize job-related projects together. SAUERESSIG also took part in this school project. The project ideas were presented on stage on Saturday and honored with prizes.
On its 100 square metre exhibition booth, SAUERESSIG presented its diverse business units to the visitors. Visitors were able to take a closer look at everything from embossing rollers from the Surfaces division to XXL HD sleeves from the Elastomers business and proofing in the Packaging division. To demonstrate what SAUERESSIG Engineering has to offer, an electric car, a laboratory calender and a milling machine were exposed on the booth. Using the milling machine, visitors had the opportunity to have key rings engraved with their name, which SAUERESSIG employees had created in advance at the CAD workstations. A special highlight were the two pinball machines, which also found a place on the booth. Here, visitors had the opportunity to do something charitable by donating 0.50 Euro per game to the „Jugendwerk Vreden e.V.“. It will be exciting to see how high the donation will be.
As expected, the recruiting corner at the booth was well attended, because the topic of promoting young talents was the focus at the Aufwind exhibition. Thanks to the diverse and attractive range of training and career opportunities at SAUERESSIG, many exciting discussions were held with potential young employees.
In addition to the various activities organized by the companies at their booths, the recruiting fair offered a variety of activities for all visitors on both days, e.g. performances by the Vreden music clubs and exciting activities by the Vreden youth organisation. Vreden’s caterers took care of the culinary treats in the catering tent and on the outdoor area. It was an all-round successful weekend with many impressions and new exciting contacts!
